The thing is, if someone wants to enhance the graphics HL2, they'll make it a Sourcemod so they can use the Alien Swarm branch for more graphical effects and/or to modify the maps. There really isn't a simple asset replacement mod that can be used with the original game. So you can't get your achievements while also improving the graphics.
Modern Warfare 2 is back, and you apparently don’t need a graphics card to try out the open beta. While a dedicated GPU will help the latest COD caper shine, the FPS game seemingly plays nice
