The 2.5L can get off the line really well. They built torque low in the rev range which helps them get off pretty quickly. My cousin raced his Mazda6 (2.5L Non-Turbo) against an AWD V6 Acura TL and actually beat it off the line (the 100 more horsepower from the TL eventually caught up to it).
