There is no need for the Product Key. The problem is when you have multiple installations of Office with same Microsoft Account. It also means you cannot change the Product Key (licence) with the option at the Office Account at>File>Account>Change Licence. PS: like here: Change your Office product key (microsoft.com)

So I ended up figuring out that the product key that came in the box that was shipped from SHI only worked to access the Microsoft website and there is a different product key under my account on Microsoft's website that must be entered on the computer that has Office installed.
